As of 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), officially known as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, is directly applicable. This regulation concerns the protection of individuals with regard to personal data processing and the free movement of such data. Additionally, Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December, concerning the Protection of Personal Data and the Guarantee of Digital Rights, also applies. This law introduces new obligations related to the handling of your personal data. These regulations enhance and standardise the level of data protection throughout Europe.
